Coeliac UK and supporters delivered a petition with over 20,000 signatures to Downing Street, backing calls for wider access to ‘gluten-free’ prescriptions across the UK. Pathways to Work Green Paper
Some initial thoughts on the Pathways to Work Green Paper which I will update with further information as the consultation progresses. Currently, many who want to get into work simply cannot because the system does not support them. For many, taking a job risks losing the support they rely on.

We are fixing our broken immigration system, removing those with no legal right to remain in this country and tackling the source of the horrific people smuggling trade.
Today, we are also introducing stricter laws to crack down on illegal working. This means that all companies must conduct proper eligibility checks or face fines and potential prison time. You can read more here: shorturl.at/hZ4N0 ... See MoreSee Less

Stop the boats, stop paying France all that money for nothing. We need someone in charge with a back bone .
Stop the boats and stop giving them accommodation and everything else that goes with it. That funding would fill the so called big hole !!! If they want to come here then they have to do military service - no service no stay. They get better treated than our veterans
It's past the time to post April Fools.

It doesn’t cover the tax rises. Car tax up, stamp duty up, employers NI Up and more… Now the wage has gone up businesses will be putting their prices up to cover the cost of everything, not rocket science. We are worse off!
I think Labour are on a parallel universe to everyone else. All these so called rises have been completely wiped out with all the bills that have gone up today as well as the prices in the supermarket going up every week!! Never mind you and your party members won’t have to worry about prices you’ll be having your 2.8 pay rise shortly plus all these so called other perks you get🤬
Spoke to a lady today who’s had her business for years, she’s had to close her shop due to her business rates have doubled!!!

Local pharmacists know you. They know the GPs and Nurse Prescribers. They don’t just hand your pills over. They are a crucial backstop in a safety chain that monitors drug interactions and prevents errors. So glad to see the Labour Government supporting High Street pharmacies.
Please remember that using postal services for your prescription could mean that your local chemist will be under pressure
Here are some of our casework successes in recent weeks supporting local people.

Since becoming ill 12 months ago there are huge waiting lists for various NHS departments. However my GP referred me to adult social care as well as I now need assistance with normal daily activities. They were/are absolutely brilliant! 10 stars from me! 👍

It was lovely to meet students at Ivanhoe School last week. They asked me numerous questions during the visit about education funding, curriculum changes, SEND funding, mental health, and GCSE exam pressures.
We also managed to discuss what changes they would like to see as young people in the future. We are currently developing a new national youth strategy with the survey for young people running until 16th April. (Link in the comments) ... See MoreSee Less

Proper undiluted apprenticeships for 16yrs+. A properly funded alternative to the academic and it's highly inflated student debt. A debt that future generations will have to bail out.
Sad to read that mental health budget has been cut again. From my personal experience within my family, teenagers should be fast tracked to get a diagnosis and a treatment plan as soon as possible. It is much easier and cheaper to fix a child than a broken adult when it comes to mental health.
As part of my work in Parliament, I sit on the Work and Pensions Select Committee which is currently holding an inquiry into Pensioner Poverty.
This week, in the oral evidence session, I asked the panel what challenges people aged 60 and up to pensionable age, who are not in paid work, are facing, and whether the rise in State Pension age has made any changes. ... See MoreSee Less

Pensioner poverty your lot have just compounded this terrible situation.
Winter fuel allowance would have helped a bit, but no, your 'boss' wants to make everyone suffer more than the last lot. You'll not get my vote again. I'm done
How about following the enquiry’s recommendations and compensate WASPI women.

Earlier this week I hosted GMB Union's campaign launch to stop the abuse of airport workers. 72% of airport workers have felt unsafe going into work due to abuse or aggressive behaviour from passengers.
It was good to meet with some workers from East Midlands Airport, some of whom I had met last year, and listen to their experiences of this unacceptable behaviour. ... See MoreSee Less

Where was this advertised? I really appreciate this kind of proactive approach but I work with 500 colleagues at ema airport and we've never heard of this!!??
72% seems very high ...and serious if a valid figure to quote with regard to such serious allegations. I will make a point of triangulating with EMA themselves via the Airport Consultative Committee.
Another free lunch....needs a proper job....
